We are heading back to the beach in just a couple of weeks! The excitement has me checking my list to make sure we are well prepared for the hot steamy Florida weather. I always check for our summer beach items on Amazon first. It suits my busy schedule and with my Prime Membership, it just makes sense for our family.

Great Summer Beach Items on Amazon!

When I started looking for summer beach items on Amazon I found several cute beach chairs and umbrellas but those items just aren’t practical for our family. We live in the middle of the country so a beach visit almost always includes a plane ride. We have to consider packing very carefully.
So, I started with an easy-to-pack, comfortable place for everyone to gather on the beach.
- Sand-Free Blanket – Create a family space with a Sand Proof Blanket. I love this one! The color name is “Summer”! (It also matches my blog logo – Yes, I am kind of a dork…I had to order it!)
- Pack/Quick Dry Beach Towels – My newest obsession! These towels are so easy for travel because they are lightweight and dry quickly. And now they come in great colors and designs.
- Cooling Towels – I keep one of these in our day bag whenever we travel. They really come in handy if someone becomes overheated or isn’t feeling well.
- Yeti – For years, I was a Hydro Flask fan but this Yeti design that’s dishwasher friendly may have won me over. I take a water bottle everywhere I go – Read about My Tourist Bag Essentials.
- Sunscreen! – This is so important. Although I still use Neutrogena on our faces, we as a family, have switched to Safe Sea products. We love the beach and our oceans and we all need to do what we can to protect them. (I may also have an unreasonable fear of jellyfish). Other favorites include Alba Botanica and Sun Bum!
- Backpack or Collapsible Cooler – We recently purchased a backpack cooler for our day trips to the beach but this collapsible one may be going in my cart. Talk about easy to pack! UPDATE: Bought it, love it!
- Waterproof/Sand Proof Case for your Phone – Sand gets everywhere including the crevices of your phone. Be prepared!
- Insect Repellent/Bug Bands – We have sensitive skin in our family so we prefer Natural bug spray or Bug Bands.
- Shade – This shade can save the day if you have little ones and it’s super portable.
- Beach Games – Don’t forget the beach games! Kites are popular at many beaches but frisbees are also easy to pack. (Just don’t hit a sunbather).
One thing I would like to add before you go… PLEASE bring a little trash bag and make sure that you don’t leave any trash behind during your time at the beach. Our waters and sea life are being destroyed by careless beachgoers. I know none of you are like that but if you see trash on the beach, even if it isn’t yours, please pick it up. It’s the right thing to do and we will all be able to enjoy the beach for years to come.
